Lansink’s ladder clearly shows how we should deal with materials and raw materials in the circular economy. From avoiding material (Prevention), reuse and recycling. Then use it as an energy source, burn it or in the worst case use it in landfill, while the Bio materials turn into food for other organisms. What is already possible? Which materials, products, residual flows and recycling initiatives have been used successfully and are on the market? What about certificates, LCA, EPD, measurable sustainability? This lecture shows examples per sector of the development and most current circular materials.
